How to prep your skin for your wedding day
Preparing your skin for your wedding day is all about planning ahead, maintaining consistency, and understanding your skin's needs. I always say the better you take care of your skin, the better your makeup application will be!
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you glow on your big day:
6–12 months before your wedding
1. Schedule an Esthetician appointment to figure out your skin type
Schedule a skin consultation to assess your skin type and concerns.
Begin treatments like chemical peels, microneedling, or laser if needed—these require downtime and should be done well in advance.
2. Start a consistent skin care routine if you haven’t start yet!
Cleanser: Gentle, non-stripping.
Moisturizer: Hydrating, based on your skin type.
SPF: Daily use, minimum SPF 30.
Exfoliation: 1–2x per week (chemical exfoliants are preferred for a smoother look).
3–6 Months Before
3. Regular facials
Monthly facials can help with deep cleansing, hydration, and glow.
Don’t try a new facial close to the wedding—stick to what your skin knows.
1–2 Months Before
